Williams aims for big senior season
As the daughter of a Clinton High coach, former Lady Reds basketball standout Jennifer Williams was on the receiving end of more coaching lessons back at home once the games were done.
Today, Williams is about to enter her senior season as a shooting guard for the Southwestern Oklahoma State Lady Bulldogs. She is the daughter of CHS head baseball coach Kelly Gaunt and Clinton elementary teacher Tonya Gaunt.
Both her parents were supportive and both gave her advice when it came to sports, Williams said. Her father had coached the Lady Reds in the past, and coached her on the CHS softball team. He will be coaching Williams’ younger brother, Gage Gaunt, next spring on the Reds baseball team.
