Tight ends working for dual threat success

This article is the second in a series on Clinton High School football’s positional breakdowns heading into the 2016 season.
The tight end position doesn’t get a lot of publicity, because it typically doesn’t get the ball. In Clinton’s offense, the team uses the tight ends to block and rarely uses them in the passing game.
Senior Daniel Lopez and sophomore Reed Lindsey say they are capable of both this season. Lopez carries the experience and the production and Lindsey is an up-and-coming underclassman

Daniel Lopez is a two-way starter for the Reds. Last season, he started at tight end for the offense and linebacker on defense. Lopez caught three passes for 55 yards and a touchdown in 2015.
