Gaunt sees summer ball as good resource

The Clinton summer baseball season ended a week ago, but the results will carry into the following spring season.
The Red Tornadoes didn’t have a spectacular summer season going just 10-15, yet head coach Kelly Gaunt feels the summer was positive.
“I think it’s a growing and learning experience for the freshmen and sophomores,” Gaunt said. “That’s their first time where they aren’t just contributing but pulling the wagon.”

Pitcher Christopher Brooks winds up to throw in summer practice. Brooks pitched 11.0 innings this summer recording an ERA of 2.54 and a WHIP of 1.27
