Funeral services will be held for Terry Vaughn Price, 73, at 10 a.m. Friday at Whinery Funeral Service Chapel.
He died Monday, March 11, 2019, in Elk City.
Price was born July 21, 1945, to Jessie Fern (Morgan) Kirk and Clarence Arthur Price in Foss. He was raised in Burns Flat, where he also attended school.
In 1965 he was drafted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War.
He was honorably discharged in July of 1967 and then moved to Dallas, Texas, where he worked for Tom Thumb grocery store. He advanced from stocking to the position of store director and after five years returned to western Oklahoma to open Price Automotive.
He worked in the oil fields during the 1980s and as a refrigeration engineer for Tolen Mechanical, retiring in 2012.
On June 26, 1976, he married Marianne Rita Byrne in Las Vegas, Nev. They made their home in Foss.
He enjoyed attending all forms of car racing at Sayre and Elk City, going to car shows and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two brothers, C.A. Price and Jerry Price.
Survivors include three children, Tracy White of Clinton, and Terry Price II and wife Mendy and Michael Price and wife Alicia, all of Elk City; nine grandchildren, Lindy Hampton, Courtney Allen, Brendan Price, Dru Price, Carly White, Mason Price, Carson Price, Anna Price and Kyleigh Price; one great-grandson, Bryler Allen; his step-father, Clifford Kirk of Elk City; one brother, Bill Price and wife Suzy of Houston, Texas; one sister, Lilly Varnell of Elk City; and many other relatives and friends.
Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery.
