Mary Ann Wright
A memorial service for Mary Ann Wright, 74, Clinton resident, will be at 1 p.m. Monday, in the Bethany Baptist Church in Clinton, officiated by Rev. Billy Mucker.
Mrs. Wright was born Jan. 20, 1940 in Somerville, Texas, the daughter of George Scarlett and Lillie Belle (Jordan), and died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, in her home in Clinton.
Mrs. Wright was raised in Altus and was a 1958 graduate of Altus High School. She worked for a time for the New Jersey Tax Commission.
She owned M & M Construction and worked for New Horizons, the Clinton hospital and Multi County Youth Services.
She also was a member of Heroines of Jericho, Eastern Star, NAACP and C.A.R.E.
Preceding her in death were both of her parents; her husband, Archie Dale Wright; one sister, Georgia Taylor; and four brothers, Lester, Sylvester, Carl and Roy.
Survivors include two daughters, Teia Wright of Houston, Texas and Natasha Wright-Arnette of Wichita, Kan.; and one son, Donnie Wright, of Clinton.
Arrangements were made with Stanley-Lee Funeral Home, Clinton.
Burial will follow at the Clinton Cemetery.
