John Franklin Patterson
Graveside services for John Franklin Patterson, 68, Clinton resident, are set for 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, in the Clinton Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Mucker and Rev. Tony Murphy.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 3, 2014 from 12 noon until 3 p.m. at Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
Patterson was born Feb. 26, 1946 in North Carolina, the son of Charles and Hattie Mae Patterson.
He was raised in Youngstown, Ohio and was a 1962 graduate of Youngstown High School, Youngs-town, Ohio.
He served in the U.S. Air Force and as a fireman in Burns Flat, also working in the oilfield.
Patterson worked at Kellwood Manufacturing until the factory closed and was employed at Bar-S for more than 20 years.
Survivors include one daughter, Tica Patterson of Phoenix, Ariz.; one son, John Patterson Jr. of Phoenix, Ariz.; one godson, Keith Washington (KeKe) of Clinton; one sister: Ollie Clark and her husband, Morris, of Youngstown, Ohio; brother, Joe Atkinson of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Rikkie; one daughter, Tricilla ; his parents; one brother, James Patterson; and two sisters: Margaret Burnett and Carol Hill.
