Funeral services for Gerrie Goucher, age 93 of Yukon, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the United Methodist Church of the Good Shepherd in Yukon with burial following at 2 p.m. in the Clinton Cemetery.
The family will gather at 12:30 p.m. at T.C.’s Country Kitchen, 2140 W. Gary Blvd. in the Ramada Inn in Clinton.
Mrs. Goucher died Sunday, July 27, 2014, in Yukon. She was born April 15, 1921 on a farm near Butler, the oldest of five children. At age three, her family moved to Oregon where they lived for 18 months before returning to Oklahoma and settling on a farm near Butler.
She attended a country school through eighth grade and then went to high school and graduated from Arapaho. In 1943 Mrs. Goucher entered nurses training at Oklahoma General Hospital in Clinton.
In 1946, she met and married Arlie Goucher. Arlie died in 1990. She moved to Spanish Cove Retirement Center in Yukon in 2009. Mrs. Goucher was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clinton.
Survivors include her daughters, Carol Hager of Blanchard, and Linda McGlophlin and her husband, Bill of Dickinson, Texas; her sisters, Elizabeth Richardson of Clinton, and Janice Huckins and her husband, Jimmy, of Thomas; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter..
The family suggests donations may be made in her honor to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
