Jumper cables allegedly used to steal power
A Clinton man is charged with using auto jumper cables to apparently steal electricity from Public Service Company.
The defendant is James Edward Weber II, 27.
Information filed in the case says police Lt. Miguel Gonzales was called to 420 N. 16th St. and when he arrived, he found that someone had connected one end of a set of jumper cables to an electrical line on a pole near the house and the other end to the house.
Gonzales contacted PSO and later met with employee Darrin Kisinger, who said he had removed the electrical meter to the house on Oct. 14, 2014. Gonzales was there Nov. 14.
