GPS helps identify auto theft suspects
Clinton police may have solved two burglaries, two automobile thefts and a motorcycle theft, thanks in part to 21st Century technology.
A Butler man and a Weatherford woman are in the Custer County Jail as suspects, and the woman has incriminated her brother who also lives in Weatherford. He had been charged but not arrested as of Friday morning.
The autos were stolen when a pair of garages in Clinton were burglarized. One of the autos, a Halliburton truck, had a GPS system installed and was tracked to the Sugar Creek Casino at Hinton. Video from there allegedly showed the brother and sister inside the truck, and the sister later was arrested by Moore police driving a car stolen from the other garage here.
