A man sought for most of the day Thursday by local law enforcement was arrested shortly after 4 p.m. that afternoon at Gary Boulevard and N. Seventh Street in Clinton.

After more than doubling its win total and nearly winning a Bi-District game, the Clinton softball program landed four players on the All-District teams.

For the second year in a row, a teacher from Clinton has been chosen as one of six state regional winners of the “Supporting K20 Innovative Educators (SKIE) Award,” which recognizes teachers for their exceptional use of technology as a teaching tool.

Funeral services for Leona Faye Stepp, 75, of Elk City, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Community Fellowship Church in Hammon. A traditional wake will be held 7-10 p.m.

Opal Brown

Funeral services for Opal A. Brown, 76, of Clinton, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God.
She died Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, in Clinton after a lengthy illness.
