A Clinton man who thought he was communicating with a 14-year-old boy about sex when the person on the other end of the email was actually a law enforcement officer has been convicted of two felonies.
Sentencing for the defendant, Justin Braun, 30, is scheduled July 31 at 1:30 p.m.

LOOKEBA-SICKLES – Three Fort Cobb-Broxton singles loaded the bases and forced a perilous bases-loaded, zero out situation for pitcher Gage Gaunt and Clinton’s defense, but they didn’t panic. Instead, they kept their heads above water in the ninth inning tied 2-2 with Fort Cobb-Broxton in the Lookeba-Sickles Shootout title game.

Monday’s 12-4 Clinton Preps’ home win against the Binger-Oney Bobcats closed out a fatigue-filled eight games in five days, as the win improved the young squad to 21-2 on the year.
Despite the tough task, the Preps gutted out a 7-1 record over the span.
