Reds fall on the road to Eagles 10-2
The Clinton Red Tornadoes fell behind early and never could recover Saturday afternoon at Weatherford as they lost 10-2 in five innings.
“We just got off to a bad start,” Clinton baseball head coach Kelly Gaunt said. “The first two innings, we just dug a huge hole and couldn’t get out of it. It just didn’t go our way. We hit the ball hard and they make a diving catch on a hit that should have been a triple. Then there’s two or three more hit hard. I thought their pitcher did a better job than our pitchers of making you swing at balls. He had a huge zone and he was able to get people out without having to throw strikes. We had a harder time with that.”
