Police Chief Ed Smith pins a ribbon on the uniform of 2nd Lt. Steve Moss after presenting him a Life Saving Medal at a Clinton Police Department awards ceremony Tuesday night. Moss received two of the medals for using a defibrillator to save the lives of two heart attack victims during 2001. At right is Patrolman Jimmy Murphy, who received one Life Saving Medal for helping Moss do cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the first victim. Cowboys faithful gathered at their old alma mater in Butler Saturday night for their annual reunion. Making plans for the 7 p.m. Sunday, April 7, Community Spring Sing are (from left) Mark Lantz and Terry Brooks. The sing will be held at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 500 S. 30th in west Clinton. There will be a community choir practice at 6 p.m. prior to the service for those interested in participating.
