Funeral services for Sybil Clayton, 85, resident of Dill City, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Musick-Varner Funeral Home, Cordell, with Rev. Dale Nease officiating.
Mrs. Clayton died Sunday, May 4, 2014, in Cordell. She was born Jan. 5, 1929, west of Dill City on the family farm in Washita County, the daughter of Elwin and Corine (Touchtone) Lemasters. She attended Dill City Schools.
On Oct. 24, 1946, she married Billy Clayton. She had worked at the Farmers National Bank in Cordell as a teller for many years before retiring in the mid 1980’s.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Billy Clayton, in 1992; her son, Greg Clayton, in 2010; and one sister.
Survivors include three sons, Clay Clayton and his wife, Anita, of Elk City, Max Clayton of Florence, Colo. and Brian Clayton and his wife, Shirley, of Clinton; two sisters, Dorothy Hines of Irving, Texas, and Maxine Thomas of Marlow; one sister-in-law, Glenda Clayton of Canon City, Colo.; 11 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
