Opal Oleta Warnick
Funeral services for Opal Oleta Warnick, 74, of Clinton, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Clinton First Christian Church, officiated by Jeff McDowell.
Mrs. Warnick died early Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, in the Corn Heritage Village at Corn. She was born Oct. 11, 1939 in Clinton, the daughter of Claude and Mattie (Basket) Jones.
She was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1957.
She married Bill Warnick March 21, 1958 in Clinton. She started her working career at the Lee Boss Saddlery Shop.
In 1983, the Warnicks owned and operated Sugar Creek Transport Trucking, and she served as bookkeeper until her retirement in 2007. She was also employed with S&D Drug.
Mrs. Warnick was a member of the Broadway Heights Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Bill, and her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Warnick and his wife, Donna, of Clinton and Kirk Warnick and his wife, Regina, of Woodward; four brothers, Joe Jones and his wife, Jay, of Wimberley, Texas, Elmer Jones and his wife, Wanda, of Wichita, Falls, Texas, Roy Jones and his wife, Betty, of Clinton, Leonard Jones and his wife, Peggy, of Stroud; a sister, Juanita Eeds and her husband, Baker, of Clinton; five grandchildren, Shelby Ray, Garret Warnick, Chelsea Love, Rachel Bilbo and Katie Warnick; one great-grandson, Greer Ray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in the Clinton Cemetery, under direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
