Margaret Lee Cline Kincaid
Funeral services for Margaret Lee Cline Kincaid, 77, of Putnam, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Putnam Christian Church, officiated by David Beck.
Mrs. Kincaid died Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City after battling multiple sclerosis for many years.
She was born the fourth of six children to Sarah Ann Long Cline and Arthur Leroy Cline on April 17, 1936 in Thomas.
Later, the family moved to a farm in the Parallel community. She attended grade school at Parallel and later attended high school at Putnam. She graduated from Taloga High School.
She married Donald Lee Kincaid on May 17, 1953 where they farmed in the Putnam area.
Mrs. Kincaid was an active farm wife and a member of the Putnam Christian Church since her youth.
In later years, she was active at the Putnam Senior Center, helping with the third Sunday dinners and other events by keeping attendance records and collecting money.
Preceding her in death were a daughter, Mary Jo; her parents, Sarah and Arthur Cline; a brother, Earl Cline of Taloga; and a sister, Betty Jo, in infancy.
Survivors include Donald Lee, of the home; daughters, Sharon Hoover and her husband David of Alpena, Ark., Ginger Smith and her husband, Jerry, of Katy, Texas, and Mitzie Eaton and her husband, Steve, of Yukon; grandchildren, including Emily Hoover, James and Jeremy Smith, and Nickie and Laramie Eaton; two sisters, Ruth Ann Stotts of Seiling, and Sara Sue Boyle of Woodward; and one brother, Dan Cline of Taloga.
The family has requested that donations be made to the Putnam Senior Center, Route 1 Box 358, Putnam, OK 73659, or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 N.E. 13th Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
Burial will conclude at Mound Valley Cemetery in Thomas, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Thomas.
