Lorene I. (Thompson) Huey
Funeral services for Lorene I. (Thompson) Huey, 88, of Clinton, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Michael O’Donell and Rev. Roland Youngberg.
Mrs. Huey died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at the Grace Living Center in Clinton. She was born Dec. 9, 1925, in Stafford.
She was raised and attended school in the Stafford area and married Vernon Huey on Jan. 25, 1943, in Bessie.
The Hueys celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary before his passing on Jan. 17, 1997.
The couple farmed for several years in the Clinton and Stafford areas.
Mrs. Huey was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clinton.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Vernon; her parents; a daughter, Sharon Huey Bowser-Mandrell; a son-in-law, Perry Joe Bowser; a granddaughter, Wendy (Baker) Putnam; and two sisters, Leona Fry and Florence Walker.
Survivors include a daughter, Vernette Baker and her husband, Mike, of Arapaho; five grandchildren, Terri Hughes and her husband, Stephen, of Arapaho, Perry Linn Bowser, of Fort Cobb, Laura Haggard and her husband, Scott, of Clinton, Jay Baker and his wife, Misty, of Clinton, and Autumn Baker, of Arapaho; 12 great-grandchildren, Amanda Flesher, Piedmont, Abby Townsend, Arapaho, Rhys Bower of Texas, Kaiden Haggard, Kailar Haggard and Barrick Haggard, of Clinton, Wacey Hughes, Jody Hughes and Jamae Hughes, Arapaho, Sketchley Baker, Charley Baker and Malley Baker, all of Clinton, and one great-great- granddaughter, Laurie Flesher.
Burial will be in the Parkersburg Cemetery southwest of Clinton.
