Judith Arlene (Earles) McKeaigg
A chapel service for Judith Arlene (Earles) McKeaigg, 79, Weatherford resident, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Dwight Shephard.
Mrs. McKeaigg died early Thursday, May 29, 2014, in her home at Weatherford. She was born July 31, 1934 in Oklahoma City, the daughter of Dennis F. Earls and Jessie Bird (Williams) Earls.
She was raised in the Independence area and graduated with the 1953 graduating class.
She married James Edward McKeaigg Feb. 15, 1953 at Independence. They made their home in Arapaho for several years.
She was employed at the former Western Oklahoma Tuberculosis Sanatorium in Clinton as a nurse’s aide.
She continued her education at the Western Technology Center and received her degree in business office and computers.
Mrs. McKeaigg was also a house mother with the Action Associates shelter for abused women and children as well as owning and operating Judy’s Tax Service from 1953 until 2004.
She was a member of the Living Waters Assembly of God Church in Burns Flat.
Preceding her in death were her husband; her parents; a son, Rodney; and a great-great-grandson, Logan Cummings.
Survivors include three daughters, Connie Marie Poindexter, of Arlington, Texas, Deborah Ann Goddard and her husband, Larry, of Oklahoma City and Linda Sue Haas and her husband, Larry, of Weatherford; two sons, John McKeaigg and his wife, Ardith, of Boynton, and Robert McKeaigg, of Weatherford; five sisters, Pat Houchin, of Butler, Shirley Shephard and her husband, Billy Mack, of Arapaho, Denise Baker and her husband, Jack, of Butler, Jane Earles, of Stafford, Kan., and Marilyn Sue Bowie, and her husband, Bob, of Wichita, Kan; a brother, Ralph Earles and his wife, Roma Jean, of Baldwin, Kan.; a brother-in-law, Jack McKeaigg and his wife, Kathy, of Jacksonville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, J.B. Poindexter, Elizabeth Poindexter, Ezra Poindexter, Latasha Cummings, Amber McKeaigg, Odie McKeaigg, Rhonda Murphy, Dewayne Haas, Rachel McKeaigg, Alysia McKeaigg and Michael McKeaigg; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Burial will conclude in the Fairview Cemetery in Putnam, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
