Joan Elizabeth Fransen
Funeral services for Joan Elizabeth Fransen, 81, Clinton resident, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, officiated by Doyle Kinney.
Miss Fransen died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, in her Clinton home. She was born March 31, 1933 in Weatherford, the daughter of John W. and Selma (Schmidt) Fransen.
She was raised in the Corn and Clinton area and attended and graduated from Clinton High School.
She later made her home in Denver, Colo. where she worked for the City of Denver as a secretary. She later moved to San Diego, Calif. where she also worked as a secretary for the city before retiring and returning to Oklahoma to settle in Clinton.
Miss Fransen was a member of the Methodist faith and also enjoyed visiting the Koinonia Indian Mennonite Church, east of Clinton.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a sister, Gail; and a brother, Wilferd Fransen.
Survivors include a brother, Gordon Fransen, of Lubbock, Texas; Clinton relatives, Yvonne Carpenter, Terry Harms, Carol Fransen-Webb, Elaine Fransen, Georeta Jones and Yvonne Fransen; and nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
