A memorial service for James Ingram, 87, Clinton resident, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Bethany Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Billy Mucker.
James Ingram was born March 18, 1927 to George and Pearl (Thorpe) Ingram in Calvin, OK and passed away Monday, April 21, 2014 in his Clinton home.
Ingram was raised and attended school in Calvin. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy when he was 16 years old and served in the Korean War.
After his discharge from the military, he attended diesel mechanic school in Okmulgee.
He worked for many years as a mechanic and moved to Clinton in 1980. He married Betty Jo Buchanan on June 13, 1987 in Kansas.
He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Frank Ingram; and four grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; three daughters, Deborah Ferguson, of Oregon, Teresa Campbell, of Texas, and Patricia Lewis, Oklahoma City; and two sons, Sam Ingram and Richard Ingram, both of Oregon; a sister, Lorene Murray, of California; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
