George “Little George” Herschell Fancher III
Funeral services for George “Little George” Herschell Fancher III, 41, Edmond resident, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, in the Butler Baptist Church, officiated by Patrick Peters.
Fancher was born Jan. 2, 1973, to George Herschell Fancher Jr. and Stormie Ann (Donahoo) Fancher in Oklahoma City, and died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in the Oklahoma University Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Fancher was raised in Yukon, where he attended school. After his school years he was the caregiver for his mother, who suffered from a kidney disease and was on kidney dialysis until her death.
He then began a career with Cox Cable Company in the Customer Service Department. He married Cathy Lynn Hartman on Dec. 4, 1999, in Eureka Springs, Ark.
They made their home in the Edmond area. He had been in failing health for the past few years, suffering also from kidney failure.
Fancher was a member of the Wilshire Church of Christ in Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his mother in 1992.
He is survived by his wife, of the Edmond home his father and step mother, George “Butch” Fancher Jr. and his wife, Marilyn, of Edmond; two step brothers; two step sisters; two nephews; a niece; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and other family members.
Burial will be in the Butler Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home of Clinton.
