Frances Barbara Marie (Jaworsky) Arington
Funeral services for Frances Barbara Marie (Jaworsky) Arington, 90, lifelong Custer County resident, will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the First Christian Church, officiated by Jeff McDowell and Dean Brookshier.
Mrs. Arington died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014, in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital emergency room. She was born July 22, 1924, in Clinton, the daughter of Nick and Rosie (Miller) Jaworsky.
Mrs. Arington was raised in Custer County, attending school in both Clinton and Arapaho. She was married to Paul E. Arington on Aug. 1, 1942 in the Lutheran Church parsonage in Clinton. They made their home in Arapaho where they spent their entire married life.
They farmed together and owned and operated the Arapaho Quick Shop for many years, retiring in 1995.
Mr. Arington preceded his wife in death in November of 2002. She had most recently been a resident of the Metho-dist Health Care Center in Clinton.
She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
The Aringtons were past members of the Hub City Squares Square Dance Club, and she enjoyed the Clinton Women’s Bowling Association and Arapaho Bunco group, operated by the Alpha Nu chapter of ESA.
Survivors include her daughter, Linda Elston, and her husband, Danny, a granddaughter, Lisa Grybowski and her husband, Brett, and three great-grandchildren, Corbin, Ashley and Kinley, all from Arapaho; and a sister-in-law, Jewel Dansby of Terrell, Texas.
Burial will be in the Arapaho Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
