Denola N. McWilliams
A chapel service for Denola N. McWilliams, 80, of Dill City, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton, officiated by Rev. Jimmie Prickett.
Mrs. McWilliams died Saturday, April 19, 2014, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. She was born Dec. 15, 1933 in Washita County, the daughter of Joe and Nora (Wallace) Minyard.
She was raised in the Dill City and Burns Flat area and graduated from Dill City High School in 1952. She married Don Maddox in 1957.
She worked as a model and also in a photography studio in her younger years.
She married Doug McWilliams on Aug. 4, 1982. She spent most of her life in Western, Oklahoma and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Dill City.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Douglas McWilliams; four brothers, Bob, Bill, Glen and Elton Minyard; and two sisters, Maudie Williams and Letha Campbell.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol Maddox, Dill City , and Patricia Kay Mitchell, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; three sons, Gary Maddox and his wife, Cherie, Elk City, Mike Maddox and Ron Maddox, both of Dill City; a sister, Florene Thomas, Henrietta; a brother, J.B. Minyard and his wife, Maude, Pampa, Texas; six grandchildren, Warren Maddox, Branton Maddox, and Josh Maddox, and his wife, Caty, Lauren Self, Samantha Griffin and Shannah Scott; and six great-grandchildren, Malachi Self, Georgia Mae Maddox, Mackenzie Scott, Lukas Scott, Blake Griffin and Chelsea Maddox.
Burial will follow in the Lawnview Cemetery at Cordell.
