Debra Jean (Brace) Wakefield
A memorial service is pending for Clinton native Debra Jean (Brace) Wakefield, 55, who died Jan. 12, 2014, in Houston, Texas.
The former Debra Jean Brace was born Sept. 24, 1958, in Clinton to August Cecil Brace and Maria Anna (Trent) Brace. She grew up at Cordell where she attended school and lived until marrying and moving to the Pacific coastal region. She later made her home in Wichita, Kan., where she lived for many years prior to her death.
She is survived by one son, Michael Wakefield, and his wife, Missy, and their two sons, Kevin and Jacob, all of Vinita; one daughter, Sarah Davis, and her husband, Brandon, and their two children, Elijah and Jessie, all of Wichita, Kan.; three brothers, Donald Morrison and his wife, Eleanor, of Cordell, Ernest Brace of Frederick, and Jack Brace and his wife, Deborah, of Cordell; three sisters, Mary Bronkema, Amarillo, Texas, Carolyn Maxey and husband Robert, of Lahoma, and Virginia Buller, Clinton; two uncles, Tony and Michael Trent, Cordell; and four aunts, Colleen Noe, Cordell, Rita DeLille, Ponca City, Elsie Stewart, Stilwell, and Margie Allen, of Maryland.
Ms. Wakefield was preceded in death by her parents, August Cecil Brace and Maria Anna Brace of Cordell; one brother-in-law, Keith (Skip) Bronkema, of Clinton; one sister-in-law, Sharon Brace; two uncles, Walter and Kenneth Trent; one aunt, Bernice Lau; and a great-nephew, Harley Whitledge.
