Memorial services for Clifford Covington, 69, Hinton, were slated to be held at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Hinton.
He died June 6, 2014, at Hinton.
Clifford Covington was born Jan. 23, 1945, in Bully Hill, Okla., the son of Orville F. and Eula P. (Norrid) Covington. He graduated from Grant High School in 1963.
He moved in 1963 to the Oklahoma City area and worked for Coca-Cola. He then moved to Hinton in 1974 and worked for Pepsi Cola in Clinton until he retired in 1998. He married Maxine Conover May 12, 1990, at Hugo. Wendell Folsom led Clifford to the Lord a few years back at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Eula Covington, and his sister, Glenda Sue DeSellier.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine Covington of Hinton; his children, Franklin D. Covington and his wife, Trina, of Hydro, Gene Ward and his wife, Donna, of Newalla; Toni Covington Creswell and her husband, John, of Weatherford, Dana Sue Bassett of Tulsa, and Paula Lahann and her husband, Brian, of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Steven Kimosh, Austin Lovelace, Erica Creswell, Dustin Covington, Tonya Lovelace, April Lovelace, Derek Creswell, Lauren Erwin, Ashley Filson, Kaitlyn Covington, Dakota Covington and Jaxon Winton; his brothers, Don Covington of Hugo, Lonnie Covington of Globe, Ariz., Carroll Covington of Hugo and Lloyd Covington of Hugo, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
