Charlene (Stewart) Walker
A chapel service for L. Charlene (Stewart) Walker, 79, longtime Clinton resident, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, in Clinton, officiated by Patrick Peters.
Mrs. Walker died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, in her Clinton residence. She was born April 16, 1934 in Clinton, the daughter of Malcom and Helen (Sipe) Stewart.
She was raised in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School in 1952. On May 25, 1952, she married Charles James Walker in Weatherford. They made their lifetime home in Clinton.
She worked at Vic’s Café as a waitress and then became owner and operator of it, spending almost 30 years serving others.
Mrs. Walker later worked for Wong’s Restaurant as a waitress for nearly 20 years, retiring in 2004.
Preceding her in death were her husband in 2004; her parents; seven brothers, Bob, Don, Roy, Jack, Lester, Kenneth and Elmer; two sisters, Sue Wilson and Dorothy Walters; an infant son, Joey, in 1962; and a grandson, Cory Walker.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Brown-Coleman, and Lori Walker-Keeton and her husband, Timmy, and a son, Rick Walker and his wife, Mona, all of Clinton; eight grandchildren, Jeff, Traci and Timmy Brown, Eric, Chase and Ashli Walker and James and Joey Dyer; 10 great-grandchildren, Jordan Brown, Jackson Brown, Garrison Rhoades, Abby Rhoades, Kenzy Brown Cayden Brown, Riley Walker, Rori Walker, Tyler Walker and Eric Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will conclude in the Arapaho Cemetery.
