Tuesday, the Justice Department and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that Holly Energy Partners- Operating L.P. and Osage Pipe Line Company LLC have agreed to pay $7.4 million in Clean Water Act civil penalties and implement corrective measures to settle claims stemming from a pipeline rupture and crude oil spill from the Osage pipeline onto land owned by members of the Sac and Fox Nation in Oklahoma.

Corn Bible wins Academic Bowl title

After a swift comeback of geographical brainpower, the Corn Bible Academy Academic team went home state champions in the Academic Bowl last Saturday after competing with eight schools at Rose State College. Coach Joyce Creed said the state competition was a contentious fight that was only possible due to the hard work and dedication her students have given her over the year. She also said their win was a very exciting one. Her CBA team secured the victory after gaining a mere one point lead in the final round of the tournament.
