Yet another half million in meth taken
For the second time in four days, the Custer County Sheriff’s Office has taken a huge haul of drugs off Interstate 40 and by extension off the streets of Oklahoma’s two largest cities, if those carrying them were telling the truth.
Saturday night deputies confiscated 11.82 pounds of crystal meth out of a traffic stop near the Custer City Road exit east of Clinton. Early Wednesday morning, at 1:06 a.m., they seized another 14.84 pounds out of a stop near the U.S. Highway 183 overpass in Clinton.
The first load was supposedly headed for Oklahoma City and the second for Tulsa.
