The new storm shelter at Western Oklahoma Christian School is made out of steel and is fairly well handicapped accessible. It’s designed to house the entire student body and staff in case of a tornado.

Western Christian School builds storm shelter

An above-ground, free-standing storm shelter is in the process of being completed on the campus of the Western Oklahoma Christian School, south of Clinton.
WOCS Principal Joanie Quiring said the shelter is Federal Emergency Management Agency-approved and reasonably handicapped accessible (there’s one small step up onto a concrete slab to get into the shelter).
