Two hurt, biker critically, in pair of I-40 accidents
One motorcycle, two semis and two pickups were involved in a pair of wrecks late Thursday afternoon on Interstate 40 east of Clinton that tied up eastbound traffic for about two hours and sent two people to an Oklahoma City hospital.
The cab of one of the semis burned completely after dragging the motorcycle some distance down the highway, but amazingly, no one was killed. The motorcycle rider, 31-year-old Robert Galow of Byron, Ill., was listed Friday morning in critical condition at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center. He had head, arm, leg, body and internal injuries.
Julian Maldonado, 55, of Cheyenne, was in fair condition at the same hospital with head, leg and internal injuries.
No one else was hurt.
