For the first time ever, City of Clinton recreation and fitness experts staged an X-Fit competition at the Route 66 Festival downtown. Daniel Torres, in the pants, took first place honors. He’s shown competing against Logan George in kettle bell exercises.

Talent, car, X-Fit, hot dog winners from 66 Fest listed

While the burnout and stereo competitions were both rained out Saturday, Chase Walker of Clinton won the $500 first place award in the “Clinton’s Got Talent” show.

Other talent finalists included Vanessa Hester of Clinton, Brooke Humphrey of Cordell, Ashley Crews of Watonga, Liliana Sambrano of Weatherford, Samantha McDonald of Burns Flat, Blair Barnett of Weatherford and Amy Carter of Oklahoma City. In all, there were 20 performers entered in the contest.

The same two men won top honors in the hot dog eating contest who won it last year. Gordon Henderson took first place honors by downing 10 hot dogs in about 13 minutes while Anthony Ramos came in second, according to Gary Albert.
