Students advised to get shots soon
Custer County Health Department and Oklahoma County Immunization Coalition officials encourage parents and caregivers to visit immunization clinics now to avoid the back-to-school rush.
The first day of school for 2014-2015 will be Monday, Aug. 18.
Children may receive their immunizations from their doctor or else visit the county health offices at 3030 Custer Ave. in Clinton or 220 N. Bradley in Weatherford. Visits to the health department clinic may be any time on a walk-in basis without appointment from 8 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Parents should bring their insurance cards when coming to get shots.
