Rotary Club to serve chili, fixings Friday
Clinton Rotary Club past president Patch McComas would like to see 900-some folks come through the doors of the Frisco Center for the club’s annual chili supper from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday.
Last year’s ticket sales count was 450, but club members would like to double that this year. They don’t want any leftovers, although they always give the leftovers away. This year, any spare chili will go to the Mission House homeless shelter.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $4 for children, 12 and under. Yet another fundraiser for the Rotarians is their silent auction held in conjunction with the meal. McComas said they’re hoping to have about 30 different items donated for people to write their bids for.
