Missing man search leads to Bessie area
Washita County Sheriff Roger Reeves is seeking the public’s help in finding a man lawmen and firemen have been searching for
for about a week.
The missing person is Eugene Marshall Williams, who will be 63 years old tomorrow. He was living most recently in the Oklahoma City area but formerly resided in Elk City where he has relatives.
Sheriff Reeves issued a press release stating that around 1:44 a.m. Sunday, March 2, the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Williams stating that he had wrecked his car and was on foot walking in a canyon. He called the Beckham County authorities on his business line and evidently believed they had been chasing him prior to the “wreck.”
