Miller well is gusher
As the Clinton City Council prepared Tuesday to discuss a raw water contract with the Town of Canute, the project manager for the Foss Reservoir Master Conservancy District was en route to Oklahoma City with what appeared to be some very positive samples of water from the Lyle Miller well below the Foss Dam.
Ronnie Thompson, project manager, said the well tested 740 gallons per minute during a 24-hour flow test conducted Monday after the well was cleared of bees which had delayed testing last week.
That would be just over 1 million gallons a day if the well were run all out, which Thompson had already said should not be done. Nonetheless, he was optimistic as was David Berrong, the chairman of the Foss Reservoir Master Conservancy District.
