McLain Park pet microchip clinic slated
Losing a pet can be a stressful situation. Volunteers from FETCH Inc. will be holding a microchip clinic from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, or until the organization’s supply of chips is exhausted, under the McLain-Rogers Park picnic pavilion off of S. 10th Street in Clinton.
For a fee of $25, professional staff, including veterinary technician Kristen Seymore assisted by surgical nurse Amber Ruiz, will implant a microchip into each pet that will provide national registration with 24PetWatch Lost Pet Recovery Service.
A microchip is permanently implanted in the pet and stored with a unique identification number linking the pet to the owner’s contact information, increasing the likelihood of a quick and safe return.
