Mayor wants public thoughts directed to council
The “audience participation” portion of Clinton City Council meetings are not intended as “gotcha sessions,” Mayor Seth Adams declared Tuesday.
He said anyone with questions or complaints should address them to the council and the council then will ask staff members about whatever is being questioned, if need be.
Adams made his remarks at the end of the open part of Tuesday’s regular council meeting, just before it adjourned into executive session to interview a city manager candidate. He did not say what prompted his statement.
