Local assessor does well on state audit
All but one of the county assessment offices in this area received passing scores on a 2013 performance audit conducted by the State Auditor’s Office, but 35 others located across Oklahoma did not.
Custer County’s assessment office, headed by Assessor Brad Rennels, was among 42 in the state that earned passing scores of 192 or better. The others included five of the six counties that adjoin Custer – Washita, Beckham, Roger Mills, Dewey and Blaine. The only one that didn’t was Caddo.
