Kick Ash run Saturday for Arapaho FD

While proceeds from the Arapaho Volunteer Fire Department’s premier Kick Ash Poker Run, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Arapaho Community Center, will be going to a variety of needs, one particular project of the department is outfitting a rescue vehicle with such gear as a Jaws of Life.

Asked about expected turnout for the run, Jared Howell said he had no idea but is hoping for more than 100 motorcycle riders. Hands will be sold for $25 single or $30 double. Top hand and low hand prizes will be awarded.

Stops on the run will include all five of the other Custer County fire departments, in this order: Weatherford, Thomas, Custer City, Butler and Clinton. Riders will end up back at the Arapaho Fire Department where they will be served hot dogs and all the fixings.

Those needing more details may call Howell at 445-4236 or David Weaver at 799-7823.
