H2O rationing may start this evening

“To meet our business and industry demand, restrictions must begin now rather than wait until May 1,” Hewitt said in his memo.

Mandatory water rationing could be imposed at tonight’s Clinton City Council meeting. If it happens, it will be a month earlier than the existing ordinance calls for.

In a memo to the council, City Manager Steve Hewitt indicated low water levels have created issues for the Foss Reservoir water treatment plant and Manager Ronnie Thompson and his crew are not able to produce the amount of water they would like.
