Frac tank fire slows traffic
Rear tires on a frac tank trailer blaze away after the brakes locked up and overheated about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 40 near Jiggs Smokehouse west of Clinton. Three Clinton fire trucks responded after a Canute fireman notified the local department. Assistant Fire Chief Barry DeHart said the trailer was declared safe and put back in service. Firemen were on the scene approximately half an hour.
