Foss board helping fight disposal well
Directors of the Foss Reservoir Master Conservancy District are officially on record opposing a salt water disposal well that Overflow Energy wants to put in a short distance from the Washita River in Roger Mills County.
The directors voted unanimously at their Feb. 10 meeting to support legal efforts by the county and the Strong City Rural Water Board opposing the well. Their vote included a financial pledge to share in 10 percent of the legal costs up to a maximum of $3,500, if it takes that much.
Lou Sims, president of the Hobart Economic Development Authority, was actually the person who asked the Foss board to intervene.
