City suing for damages at sewer plant
Assistant City Attorney Ryan Meacham has been authorized to negotiate a settlement in the $16,000-to-$20,000 range for damages incurred in mid-summer of 2012 at the City of Clinton sewer plant.
The damage occurred when a sub-contractor dug into a buried power line while working on an AT&T job.
In February of 2013 the city’s Public Works Authority filed suit against Superior Construction Management Inc. of Edmond in an effort to recover monetary damages. The suit alleged that Superior had been contracted by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, doing business as AT&T Oklahoma, to perform work on the authority’s property.
