City sees good audit despite its challenges
A generally good financial report for Fiscal Year 2013 was delivered last week to the Clinton City Council by auditor James Kuykendall of the Weatherford CPA firm of Britton, Kuykendall & Miller.
“The city had another good year even though it had some hard times too,” said Kuykendall, the hard times coming in large part because of the need to buy excess water from the Foss Master Conservancy District.
“You’ve added a lot of equity, updating your infrastructure,” Kuykendall added. “The fire station is substantially complete, only increasing debt a modest amount compared to what you’ve put into the facility.”
The city’s fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30. This audit covered the period from July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2013.
