CHS class garners $1.4 million

Scholarship offers to Clinton High School seniors appear to have topped $1.4 million this year.

The students appear to be accepting over $1 million worth of those offered. Since many students receive offers from more than one college or university, they can’t all be accepted.

For instance, co-valedictorian Haley Adams received offers of more than $179,000 but will be accepting only about $50,000 of that. The ones she’ll be turning down include $56,000 from Baylor University, $40,000 from Oklahoma City University, and $34,000 from the University of Kentucky.
