Any artifacts from Calmez Hotel needed for new museum exhibit
The Oklahoma Route 66 Museum in Clinton will be opening an exhibit focusing on the history of Clinton’s famed Calmez Hotel June 26, said museum Director Pat Smith. The opening will be a special occasion since the Calmes family, which started the hostelry, will be in town for a reunion and will be attending the opening.
The museum is asking for the public’s assistance in locating artifacts from the hotel. Museum officials would like to have the artifacts within the next two weeks so work can begin on the extensive exhibit for the Now and Future Room.
