2013 Top 10 Stories
Two of western Oklahoma’s greatest mysteries were believed solved when two cars were pulled Sept. 17 from about 12-foot-deep water 50 feet out from the main boat ramp at Foss Lake. Each contained three sets of human remains.
While the remains still hadn’t been positively identified by year-end, those in a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro were believed to be three teenagers who disappeared from Sayre the night of Nov. 20, 1970. Those in a 1952 Chevrolet were believed to be three older people who were last seen April 8, 1969, at Canute.
