Dr. Cashero admired victims of Kabul shooting
Last week three U.S. doctors were gunned down in Kabul, Afghanistan, outside a charity hospital founded nine years ago by a group from Pennsylvania to help the Afghan people.
Clinton’s soldier-physician, Dr. Tom Cashero, indicated Tuesday he was not surprised.
“The big picture is that the Taliban do not want foreigners controlling their medical facilities,” he said. “That takes control away from them. They basically want control over all aspects of the people’s lives. If somebody else is supplying medications or service, it takes power away from them. They will deal with you the way they deal with people they don’t like – they will execute you.”
