Forty-nine young dancers will be taking the Clinton Middle School Auditorium stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday for the Western Oklahoma Ballet Academy’s 39th Spring Recital. Admission is $2.

The Ballet Academy is under the direction of Penny Askew, who holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Dance from the University of Iowa and is an American Ballet Theatre certified teacher.

“Our recital is designed to showcase the development of the students’ dance training,” she said. “It will be a fun and educational experience for the dancers, and entertaining for the audience as well. We have it all, ranging from the 3-year-olds who are just starting to learn to point their toes to dancers who will be performing on pointe.”
