Clinton United Fund volunteers have kicked off their 2015 fund drive with a goal of $44,000. This was the scene Monday in the lobby of the Frisco Center as United Fund board president and fund drive chairman Stacey Lee, seated at left, presided over a table of pledge cards. Picking up their cards are Luke Adams and, at right, Gerrie Cordes.

Larry Ballard had already left in his 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, which won first-place honors at Saturday’s car show at the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum in conjunction with the Oklahoma Route 66 Association 25th anniversary celebration, but collecting second-place honors for his 1947 Willys Jeep, done in U.S. Air Force blue with white insignias, was retired Tech. Sgt. Don Deimund, decked out in his USAF fatigues. Deimund also was a member of the color guard for the day.
